Mr. Mack has 42 years of experience in shipping and transportation.
For most of his career, Mr. Mack has been involved with Hapag-Lloyd, the fifth-largest international liner shipping transportation company in the world, in several divisions and in various positions such as: regional director of eastern hemisphere, marketing and sales, for Hapag-Lloyd (Asia) Pte Ltd., president of Hapag-Lloyd (Japan) K.K., managing director of Hapag-Lloyd (Asia) Pte Ltd., and most recently, president and CEO of Hapag-Lloyd (America) Inc. He has been based in Latin America, Europe, Asia and North America.
During his time at Hapag-Lloyd, he was responsible for marketing of Hapag-Lloyd's first TransPacific service and in charge of the integration of CP Ships in North America. He was also a board member of Montreal Gateway Terminals and a member of the Management Board of Hapag-Lloyd A.G., in Hamburg.
Since August 2007, Mr. Mack is the founder and president of a management consultancy firm in New York, and is an expert on the international maritime industry, and since November 2008, he also sits on the board of GCT-Global Container Terminals Inc.
